Board Members Elected

The board of directors of the Municipal Assessment Agency is pleased to announce the election of the Avalon municipal representative on the agency's board of directors.

"This was a runoff election, prompted by a four-way tie in our December election." said nominating committee chairperson David Manning. "I welcome the new representative and congratulate all four candidates."

Elected for a four-year term, beginning in February 2010, is: Mayor Betty Moore, Clarke's Beach.

The Municipal Assessment Agency provides real property assessment service to 228 municipalities across the province. Its board is representative of the agency's stakeholders with six municipal representatives, two taxpayer representatives, and a representative from Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Professional Municipal Administrators.
