Media Advisory: Ministers to Attend Recognition Ceremony
for Labradoria Clay Mural Project

The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs; the Honourable Patty Pottle, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs; and the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will attend a ceremony on Sunday, March 7, in recognition of the Labradoria clay mural project, a series of clay tablets by young Labrador artists on display at the Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Labradoria is intended to represent the natural and cultural history of Labrador. Many of the images featured are based on archival photographs from the Them Days magazine collection. The project is supported by $16,400 in funding from the departments of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, and Tourism, Culture and Recreation.
