Local Company to Introduce Next Generation
of Product
To better satisfy market demand for a
user-friendly tool to monitor and evaluate advertising campaigns,
adfinitum Networks is set to introduce the next generation of its
advertising monitoring technology. Supported by a $145,000 investment
from the Provincial Government, the company is able to equip
global advertisers and advertising agencies with improved information
when monitoring advertising campaigns.
"A key driver in remaining competitive in
today's business environment is the constant need to innovate," said the
Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural
Development. "While still a young company, adfinitum Networks has been
effective in recognizing that to be successful the need is great to be
constantly innovating and introducing product enhancements. They
are taking the necessary steps to deliver a more advanced product to
their client-base and increasing their competitiveness."
Launched in 2007 and supported
by investors in Canada and Japan, St. John's-based adfinitum Networks
has created a business-to-business global advertisement monitoring
network, in which advertisers are able to search, filter, and
re-distribute advertising content. The company's retail portal,
GlobalAdSource.com
,
is the world's largest database of advertising creative containing over
8.7 million ads from over 50 countries. Global Ad Source is also
localized for use in the Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Portuguese,
and Brazilian markets. Upon its completion, its new product: adfinitum
Analytics — will enable users to make sense of competitive advertising
content though use of visualization and comparative searching.
adfinitum Networks is also a participant in
the Provincial Government's Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E)
Program, which helps clients address issues impacting their operations.
"The support of the Provincial Government has
helped adfinitum Networks, and more effectively, reach consumers in
markets spanning the globe," said Ed Clarke, President, adfintium
Networks. "The BR&E program, in particular, was a great experience
and enabled the company to identify new business opportunities.
With the support of our partners, we are able to deliver a product that
assists our end-users in new pitch development, RFP submissions, and
developing competitive intelligence."
In October 2008, the Provincial Government
committed $185,000 to adfintum Networks to launch its original product
Global AdSource. In the two years since, the company has secured clients
in Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia while expanding its
database of television, radio, print, out-of-home, and Internet
advertisements to more than eight million spanning 50 countries.
"It is great to see the
continued development of young, innovative companies such as adfinitum
Networks," said Ed Buckingham, MHA, St. John's East. "With its
continued growth, I fully anticipate it assuming a leadership position
in the province's business community."
Funding has been provided
through the Provincial Government's Commercialization program, which
through Budget 2010:
The Right Investments — For Our Children and Our Future
has $1
million for investment. Established under the provincial
innovation strategy, Innovation Newfoundland and Labrador: A
Blueprint for Prosperity, the program bridges an identified
investment gap between product research and product marketing.
