Ministers to Announce Funding for Genesis Centre
The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of
Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, and the Honourable Keith
Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue, Minister of the Atlantic Canada
Opportunities Agency and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway, will
announce funding for Memorial University's Genesis Centre on Monday,
November 8.
The announcement will take place at 10:00
a.m. at the Genesis Centre, which is located in the Inco Innovation
Centre on the campus of Memorial University in St. John's.
The Genesis Centre is an incubation
facility that provides a wealth of resources to its tenants and
associates with the long-term goal of making their innovations
market-ready. Admission to the centre is competitive and restricted to
businesses pursuing technology-based ventures with high growth
potential. Resources offered through the centre include business plan
assistance, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
