The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, is participating in the Insurance Bureau of Canada's Be Smart, Be Safe Tour tomorrow (Wednesday, August 4) at the Royal St. John's Regatta. Weather permitting, Minister Skinner will join officials from the Insurance Bureau of Canada at 1:00 p.m. next to the St. John's Regatta Boathouse to demonstrate safe practices at home and on the road.

The Be Smart, Be Safe Tour is an initiative of the Insurance Bureau of Canada that is crisscrossing Alberta, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada in summer 2010 for the sixth consecutive year. The tour will visit fairs and festivals to discuss road safety, injury prevention, emergency preparedness, and property protection.
