Pasadena Company Targets Increased Visibility

Pasadena-based Visible Innovation is receiving $25,000 from the Provincial Government to assist with the implementation of a marketing plan to target domestic and international markets. The company's marketing activities are focused on increasing awareness of its photoluminescent safety signage technology and to secure greater utilization of its product at industrial worksites.

"This business is being driven by innovative entrepreneurs who are thinking big and exploring opportunities to expand and increase export activity with its photoluminescent safety signage technology," said the Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development. "Through its research and development, and industry knowledge of the various regulatory regimes, Visible Innovation has positioned itself as a major player within this emerging market. I've seen first-hand the uniqueness of its product and am confident that it holds significant promise as industrial worksites seek greater safety."

The uniqueness of Visible Innovation's signage has recently been highlighted by its new contracts with a wide range of clients, such as federal and state governments, along with oil and gas companies. Its signs are based on technology that absorbs light energy that is re-emitted as visible light during dark or blackout conditions, enabling the company to supply some of the world's brightest non-electrical luminaries. Additionally, its technology enables it to adapt to specific requirements and to manufacture customized products.

"Visible Innovation has developed a superior product line and priced it competitively so we fully expected it to be well-received in the marketplace," said Ralph Eldridge, President, Visible Innovation. "What we did not expect was how ripe the United States export market was. As we proceed forward, we are currently working to develop new markets in South America and the European Union and plan to continue to draw on the available trade expertise within the Provincial Government."

As part of its marketing strategy, Visible Innovation will participate in key industry trade shows and events and meet directly with existing and potential clients. It will also focus on opportunities in the oil and gas sector where demand for safety signage technology is rising.

"By increasing awareness of its product, Visible Innovation is taking the steps it needs to increase its business activity," said Darryl Kelly MHA, Humber Valley. "It is always extremely satisfying to see the rise of young entrepreneurs who are leading their business into new markets and strengthening the province's business community."
