Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in Business Hall of Fame Induction

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will participate in the Junior Achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador's 20th Business Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight (Thursday, May 27). The event begins at 7:00 p.m. at the St. John's Convention Centre.

This event recognizes individuals who have inspired others through their entrepreneurial achievements and their service to Newfoundland and Labrador. It is also the premier fundraising event for Junior Achievement's work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy programs.

For over 50 years, Junior Achievement learning experiences have helped young Canadians discover leadership, entrepreneurial and workforce readiness skills. Across Canada, Junior Achievement reaches over 250,000 students annually with 15,000 business volunteers in over 400 communities. Since 1955, over three million Canadian youth have participated in its business and entrepreneurial education programs.
