Innovation, Trade and Rural Development Media Advisory: Parliamentary Secretary to Speak at Awards Ceremony Wally Young, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will speak at the Sanofi-Aventis BioTalent Challenge's awards ceremony tomorrow (Thursday, April 15). The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. at the lecture theatre in the INCO Innovation Centre, Memorial University, St. John's. Launched in 1994, the Sanofi-Aventis BioTalent Challenge is an annual science competition held across Canada. Its objective is to raise awareness among students, educators, and the public about the emerging science of biotechnology and its applications in health care, agriculture, and the environment.
