The Department of Health and Community Services will host the second annual Seniors of Distinction Awards ceremony this evening (Thursday, June 24) at 6:30 p.m. at The Rooms, 9 Bonaventure Avenue. The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Business, will host the event on behalf of the Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Health and Community Services and Minister Responsible for Aging and Seniors. The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister of Voluntary and Non-Profit Secretariat, will also participate in the presentation of the Seniors of Distinction Awards.

The Seniors of Distinction Awards recognize and celebrate the lifelong achievements and many contributions Newfoundland and Labrador's seniors make in the province's communities and society.
