Media Advisory: Minister to Attend World Health Assembly

The Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Health and Community Services, will attend the World Health Organization's 63rd World Health Assembly being held from May 17-21, in Geneva, Switzerland. Minister Kennedy, in his capacity as Co-Chair of the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Conference of Ministers of Health, will represent Newfoundland and Labrador on the Canadian delegation.

Topics including international recruitment of health personnel, food safety, and prevention and control of non-communicable diseases are expected to be discussed.
