Public Advisory: Update on Motor Registration Building, Mount Pearl

The Department of Government Services advises that the Motor Registration Building in Mount Pearl will re-open for business on Monday (September 27). As a result of the disruption to service, Motor Registration will provide the following increased services to the public:

  • Driver's licence renewals and vehicle registration that are required to be completed by the end of September will be extended a month to October 31.
  • Those whose driver's licence or photo identification card expires between September 20, 2010 and September 30, 2010 will not be required to go to the Motor Registration Building to update their photos. Payment can be made at a bank, credit union or by mail. Photo renewals will resume October 1, 2010.
  • Road tests which were scheduled for the week of September 20 are being rescheduled and will be completed as soon as possible.

As well, Motor Registration encourages customers to renew their vehicle registrations online at www.eservices.gov.nl.ca. Customers are asked to call toll-free 1-877-636-6867 if they have any questions.

The Department of Government Services apologizes for any inconvenience this week's closure may have caused.
