Media Advisory: Council of Atlantic Premiers Will
Convene in Pictou, Nova Scotia
Premier Darrell Dexter will host the 18th Session of
the Council of Atlantic Premiers in Pictou, Nova Scotia, on November 29.
Premiers David Alward, Robert Ghiz, and Danny Williams will attend.
During the meeting, premiers will discuss issues ranging from energy
transmission to sustainable healthcare.
Location/Time
The meeting will commence at 8:30 a.m. on Monday,
November 29, at the Pictou Lodge, 172 Lodge Road, Pictou, Nova Scotia.
Information for Media
A photo opportunity will be available at 8:30 a.m. in
the Northumberland A at the Pictou Lodge. A media conference will be
held in the main ballroom at 1:00 p.m. Simultaneous interpretation
services will be provided during the media conference.
Media releases issued from the meeting will be
distributed by each province's communications office following the
meeting and will be accessible at www.cap-cpma.ca. Please note that:
- All media representatives, including
journalists, photographers, camera operators, and technicians,
are requested to register by submitting their name, affiliation,
and contact information by November 26 to Glenn Davis,
Information Officer, Council of Atlantic Premiers.
- A media working area will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. on
Monday, November 29.
- All registered media will be notified directly
of any changes to the meeting schedule.
