The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will speak at the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals annual awards luncheon. The event will take place Monday, November 15, at 12:00 noon at the Capital Hotel, 208 Kenmount Road, St. John's.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable organizations. The AFP represents more than 30,000 members in 200 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of AFP is holding this event to recognize National Philanthropy Day and honour local award recipients for their generous donations to local charities and outstanding fundraising.
