Media Advisory: Minister Joins Girl
Guides For 100th Anniversary Celebrations
The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for
Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and
Non-Profit Sector, will join Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada
Newfoundland and Labrador for the 100th anniversary and the unveiling of
a commemorative monument. Minister Denine will be joined by Judy
Shannahan, Provincial Commissioner, Tashia Batstone, member of the
National Board of Directors, Steve Kent, Chief Commissioner of Scouts
Canada, members of the Provincial Council and other members of the
Guiding community.
The event will take place tomorrow (Saturday, October
2), starting at 3:30 p.m. at Bowring Park, inside the west gate, St.
John's.
