The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Chair of the Economic
Policy Committee of Cabinet and Minister of Natural Resources, today
announced that the committee will meet in Corner Brook tomorrow
(Tuesday, August 3).
"It is always valuable when our committee can travel
to different areas of the province to further our appreciation and
understanding of a region's economic development opportunities and
successes, as well as its challenges," said Minister Dunderdale. "I have
no doubt our meetings will be beneficial and I look forward to joining
my colleagues for a visit to the beautiful west coast of our province."
The Economic Policy Committee will meet with the City
of Corner Brook and the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade. In
addition, the committee will tour McFatridge Cranberry Farm near
Stephenville.
A media availability will be held on Tuesday at 12:45
p.m. at the Sir Richard Squires Building, 10th Floor, Premier's Office
Lobby.
