Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Pasadena ATV Trail                                                                              (Reg. 1545)
Proponent: Dorman Porter

The proponent proposes the construction of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) trail to access a remote cabin at Vey�s Pond, in the vicinity of Deer Lake. The trail will be located off of a logging road and will be 300 metres in length and two metres wide. Work will include removal of stumps, rocks and timber for approximately 250 metres and 50 metres of corduroy built from logs cut on the trail. Work associated with construction is expected to take approximately two days. The undertaking is scheduled is begin upon receipt of approval.

The undertaking was registered on November 24, 2010; the deadline for public comments is December 29, 2010; and the minister�s decision is due by January 7, 2011.
