The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and
Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10
Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:
Garnish to Point Rosie All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Trail (Reg.1535)
Proponent: Garnish-Point Rosie Trail Association Inc.
The proponent plans to extend an existing ATV trail system to allow
linkage of the Marystown Garnish Pond Trail system to the Garnish Trail
(encompassing a section of trail previously approved). A total of 12
kilometres of trail will be upgraded/constructed. Work associated with
construction is expected to take approximately 40 days and will employ
five people. The undertaking is scheduled is begin in June 2011.
The undertaking was registered October 13, 2010; public comments are
due by November 19, 2010; and the minister's decision is due by November
27, 2010.
