The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and
Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10
Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:
Milltown-Head of Bay D'Espoir Land Based Net Washing
Pilot Project (Reg. 1512)
Proponent: Newfoundland Aqua Services Limited
This undertaking was released from environmental assessment subject
to the following condition:
The proponent is required to contact the Lands Management
Division regarding the ownership status of the proposed location
prior to commencement of operations.
Bay St. George Land-Based Seismic Exploration Program (Reg. 1515)
Proponent: Vulcan Minerals Inc.
This undertaking was released from environmental assessment subject
to the following condition:
The proponent must avoid areas of concern for rare plants as
identified by the Wildlife Division, Department of Environment
and Conservation. Contact should be maintained with the Wildlife
Division throughout the duration of the project.
