The writ of election for the Conception Bay East—Bell Island by-election has been issued to the district Returning Officer, Judy Lockyer-Shields. Advance voting will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2010, and the by-election itself will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2010.

Electors should note that Special Ballot voting is now available to those who will be unable to vote in person at the advance or regular polls.

The district Returning Office is located at 525 St. Thomas Line, Paradise. The telephone number for public enquiries is 709-895-5103. The Special Ballot telephone number is 709-895-5100.

There is also a Special Ballot Office located on Bell Island. The address is 1 Byrne Road and the telephone number is 709-488-3400.

Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will be open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
