Official Candidates for the Topsail By-Election

Nomination of candidates for the by-election in Topsail closed at 2:00 p.m. today, Saturday, March 6, 2010. The following is the official list of nominated candidates:

DAVIS, Paul
Progressive Conservative Party 

KENNEDY, Shane
Liberal Party

NOLAN, Brian
New Democratic Party

Special ballot voting is currently available to those electors who feel they may have difficulty voting on either advance poll day or ordinary polling day. The deadline to apply for a special ballot is 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010. Special ballots must be received at either the district returning office or at Elections Newfoundland and Labrador headquarters by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

Advance poll voting will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and ordinary polling day will take place on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
