Media Advisory: Minister to Tour New School and Present Literacy Award

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Education, will be at Paradise Elementary tomorrow (Wednesday, September 8) at 11:00 a.m., for a tour of the new school. Minister King will be joined by Ford Rice, CEO/Director of the Eastern School District, and Paul Davis, MHA for the District of Topsail. Paradise Elementary is located at 60 Karwood Drive in Paradise.

Also on Wednesday, Minister King will join representatives of Literacy Newfoundland and Labrador and members of the literacy community to sign a proclamation declaring September 8 International Literacy Day in Newfoundland and Labrador. Minister King will also present the Council of the Federation Literacy Award to this year's winner, Robin Grant.

This event will take place at 1:00 p.m., at the organization For the Love of Learning, Inc., located in the basement of Gower Street United Church on Queen's Road.
