Province to Celebrate National Award for
Use of Technology in Education
The Honourable Darin King, Minister of
Education, will attend an event to recognize a national award received
by Newfoundland and Labrador's public education institutions for
technology in education. The minister will be joined by Dr. Chris
Loomis, President and Vice-chancellor pro tempore of Memorial University
of Newfoundland; Ann Marie Vaughan, Director of Memorial University's
Distance Education and Learning Technologies; John King, former Chair of
Distributed Learning at College of the North Atlantic; and John Baker,
President and CEO of Desire2Learn Incorporated.
The event will take place tomorrow
(Thursday, May 20) at 9:00 a.m. in room ED-5004/5 in the G. A. Hickman
(Education) Building, Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's
Campus.
