The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Education, will join provincial and territorial education ministers from across Canada for the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) meetings in Toronto this week (March 4 and 5).

The ministers will discuss progress on common priorities including literacy, Aboriginal education and post-secondary capacity.

CMEC is an intergovernmental body comprising ministers responsible for elementary, secondary and advanced education from the provinces and territories. Through CMEC, ministers share information and undertake projects in areas of mutual interest and concern.
