The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Child, Youth
and Family Services, will provide details on proposed new child
protection legislation today (Monday, June 7).
The Children and Youth Care and
Protection Act will enter second reading in the House of Assembly
this afternoon.
A technical briefing will be held at 11:30 a.m.,
followed by a news conference at 12:00 noon, in the Media Centre, East
Block, Confederation Building.
