Media Advisory: Minister to Survey Paving of Trans Labrador Highway

The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs, on behalf of the Honourable Trevor Taylor, Minister of Transportation and Works, will view the laying of asphalt on Phase I of the Trans Labrador Highway (TLH) today (Tuesday, July 21).

The event takes place at 11:00 a.m., approximately three kilometres from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, on Phase I of the TLH.

This year, the Provincial Government will invest $52.3 million (cost-shared) to widen 130 kilometres and lay asphalt on 110 kilometres of Phase I. Additionally, the Provincial Government will invest $32.5 million to complete construction of Phase III.
