Public Advisory: Labrador Marine Service Delayed Due to Ice Conditions

The Department of Transportation and Works advises, that due to heavy ice conditions, the start dates for the M.V. Sir Robert Bond and the M.V. Northern Ranger have been delayed by at least one week.

The M.V. Sir Robert Bond ferry service to Cartwright and Happy Valley-Goose Bay is now slated to commence on June 12 and the M.V. Northern Ranger, which services ports north to Nain, is delayed until June 15. The M.V. Astron, which provides freight service from Lewisporte to Black Tickle, Rigolet, Makkovik, Postville, Hopedale, Nataushish and Nain, is slated to commence its season on June 14 (as scheduled), pending ice conditions.
