The Canada Games Men�s Basketball Team will be
competing in the Manitoba Invitational Basketball Tournament this
weekend, July 31-August 2 in preparation for the 2009 Canada Summer
Games next month in PEI. Eight male teams from across Canada will
participate in the prestigious event and games will be played at the
University of Winnipeg. The team will return home on August 3.
The coaching staff for the male program includes Head
Coach, Randy Ash, Assistant Coach Gary Sooley and Manager Dave
Noseworthy all of Mount Pearl. Team members include: John Dawson from
Holyrood; Morgan MacDonald from Logy Bay; Trevor Hearn from Mount
Carmel, Ciaran Curran, Ben Riche, Brad Rose from Mount Pearl; Teddy
Cadigan, Jamie Kennedy, Josh Sellars, Patrick Smith, Stephen Smith, Theo
Stanoev from St. John�s.
