Edge Diving Club Competes at the Age Group Junior Nationals in Victoria, BC

Five divers from the Edge Diving Club participated in the Age Group Junior Nationals in Victoria, B.C. this past weekend against more than 30 diving clubs across the Country.

Aaron Thorne of Torbay was a finalist in the 1 meter and Platform event finishing 10th and 11th respectfully. Thorne was the only diver in the Atlantic Provinces to qualify for all three events. On the 3 meter board, Quinn Crane finished 16th. Quinn also has the distinction of being only one of three divers east of Quebec to qualify for the Nationals on this board. Both Quinn and Aaron compete in the 14-15 year old age group.

In the Boy�s C division for 12-13 year olds, Liam Maher finished 15th on platform, 19th on 1 meter and 17th on 3 meter. Team mate Riley Crane was 19th on the 3 meter board.

Molly Wilson of St. John�s competed in her first National Meet in the D division (ages 10- 11). Molly finished 21st on 1 meter and 16th on 3 meter.

Aaron, Quinn and Liam will join team mates Kate McCarthy and Christopher Kent to compete in the Canada Games taking place in PEI, August 15 � 22.
