Tourism, Culture and Recreation July 9, 2009 The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Games Team off to Seattle The Canada Games Ladies Basketball Team will be competing in the Mid-Summer Night Madness (MSNM) Basketball Tournament in Seattle, Washington, this weekend in preparation for the 2009 Canada Summer Games next month in PEI. Over 400 teams from North America will participate in the prestigious event and games will be played at the University of Washington. The team will then travel to Vancouver, BC, on Tuesday for a series of exhibition games against provincial teams and small colleges in the region. They will return home on July 20.
