School Sports Newfoundland and Labrador, the governing body for school sponsored sport in the province, will hold its annual general meeting this coming Thursday (June 4) - Saturday (June 6), at the Comfort Inn Airport in St. John�s. Teachers from across the province, who are involved in the athletic programs at their school and regional level, will be in attendance. Approximately 60 delegates are expected.

There are many issues to be addressed over the two days. The direction of School Sports Newfoundland and Labrador will be discussed, through a strategic planning process. Many changes to rules and regulations of the 11 sports that SSNL sponsors, will also be debated. The calendar, along with a list of hosts for 2009-2010, will also be determined.

The Annual Awards Banquet will take place, in conjunction with the AGM, on Friday evening at the Comfort Inn Airport. The top coaches, administrators and student-athletes will be honoured.
