Atlantic Gymnastics Championships

Team Newfoundland and Labrador returned triumphant from the Atlantic Gymnastics Championships this past weekend (April 24-25). A total of 216 athletes representing Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador competed in the two day event. Fifty-seven athletes representing Salto�s Gymnastics, Gracia Gymnastics, Airials Gymnastics, Glovertown Aesirs Gymnastics, Campia Gymnastics and Cygnus Gymnastics captured a total of 124 individual medals (40 gold, 36 silver and 48 bronze) and 7 team gold medals making this the best showing for the province in several years.

Leading the medal count were all around gold medalists:

Team gold went to Argo 2, Argo 3, Tyro 2 and Novice 3 women�s team and Level l under 10, Level l 13+ and Level 3 10-12 men�s team.
