The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Senior Men�s Basketball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association is holding two Molson Provincial Championships this weekend, April 17-19.

The Ed Browne Masters Provincials is slated for Deer Lake with 10 teams competing for the title. Teams entered include Deer Lake Langers, Corner Brook Monarchs, Baie Verte, Grand Falls-Windsor, Western Hoopsters, Woodman�s CBN along with Metro All Stars, Gym Rats, Ben�s and Black Horse of the St. John�s region. All games will be played at Elwood High and Xavier.

The Division I Men�s championship will take place at the NLSC in St. John�s. Teams competing include: defending championships Nova Physiotherapy, Extreme Pita, MUN Junior Varsity, Vale Inco, Triware, Trepassey Mariners, Rob Roy along with the Canada Games Men�s squad. Play will commence at 3:30pm on Friday and conclude with the championship game slated for 12:00 noon Sunday.
