The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Provincial Basketball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will see 26 teams competing this weekend April 3-5 for the "U16 Provincial Boys and Girls Championships". Bishops College of St. John�s will host the Boys A while Fatima Academy of St. Bride�s will host the Boys B division. On the girls side it will be Gonzaga High of St. John�s hosting the A while Baltimore High School of Ferryland hosts the B.

Play gets under way on Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. For a complete list of all teams and schedules please visit the NLBA website at www.nlba.nf.ca or contact the provincial office at 576-0247.
