The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Provincial Basketball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will see 38 teams competing this weekend March 20-22 for the U14 Provincial Boys and Girls Championships.

On the east coast MacDonald Dr. Jr High of St. John�s will host the Boys A while St. Lawrence will host the Boys B division. On the girls side it will be St. Kevin�s of the Goulds hosting the A while Mobile Central High School hosts the B. On the west coast it is G.C. Rowe of Corner Brook hosting the Boys division.

Play gets under way on Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. For a complete list of all teams and schedules please visit the NLBA website at www.nlba.nf.ca or contact the provincial office at 576-0247.
