The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Senior Men�s Basketball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association is holding the Molson Division III Men�s Provincial Championships this weekend March 14-16 at Carbonear Collegiate in Carbonear.

Last season this event was renamed the Paul Whittle Memorial in honour of the late individual who served as an executive member of the St. John�s men�s league for more than 25 years.

Teams entered in the competition include: the host Coastal Marine and Recreation, Grand Falls-Windsor, Budweiser of the U23 Men�s league, Monarchs from Mobile, Roebothan, Mckay, & Marshall, and Thunder of the St. John�s Men�s League, along with Fongs and the Sentinels from the CBN League.

Play will commence at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and conclude with the championship game slated for 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
