Newfoundland and Labrador Teams Win
Silver and Bronze at Eastern Canadian Elite Volleyball Championships

A record nine elite teams and 124 athletes competed in the 2009 Eastern Canadian Elite Volleyball Champions in Moncton, New Brunswick, from July 31 to August 1.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association trained five female teams (one 17 and under, two 16 and under, two 15 and under teams) and four male teams (one 18 and under, two 16 and under, one 15 and under).

The teams trained for one week in the NL Sports Centre in St. John�s and one week at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick.

Female Tier 3: Team NL Red Silver
Female Tier 3: Team NL White Bronze
Female Tier 3: Team NL Yellow 5th Place

Male 18 and Under: Team NL Black Bronze
Male 16 and Under: Team NL Red Bronze

Male 16 and Under: Team NL Blue 4th Place
Male 16 and Under: Team NL Yellow 5th Place
