Media Advisory: Information and Intake Sessions

The Citizens� Representative is an officer of the House of Assembly and is independent of both the political process and government administration. The office investigates and resolves complaints about provincial government departments and agencies, and recommends corrective action. Services are free and confidential.

The Citizens� Representative, Barry Fleming, Q.C., will be in Deer Lake on Monday, September 14, Corner Brook on Tuesday, September 15, and Stephenville on Wednesday, September 16. Meetings will be held with various seniors� groups during the three-day visit.

On September 14, Mr. Fleming will be available for appointments at the Deer Lake Motel from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

On September 15, Mr. Fleming will be available for appointments at the Glynmill Inn from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mr. Fleming will address the Humber Rotary Club at 6:00 p.m.

On September 16, Mr. Fleming will be available for appointments at the Holiday Inn from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Citizens wishing to make a private appointment, an evening appointment, or who wish to learn more about the Office are asked to call 1-800-559-0079.
