Media Advisory: Educational Forestry
Initiative to be Launched in Corner Brook
On behalf of the Honourable Kathy Dunderdale,
Minister of Natural Resources and Minister Responsible
for the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency, the Honourable
Darin King, Minister of Education, will attend a
tree-planting ceremony to commemorate National Forest
Week, 10:30 a.m. in Corner Brook on the Corner Brook
Stream Trail. In addition, Minister King will present
the provincial winner of the National Forest Week Poster
Contest with her award. The award winner, a student from
the Northern Peninsula, will be in the city to
participate in National Forest Week events.
Minister King will also unveil a new educational
initiative focusing on the forest sector. The event will
take place in Corner Brook on Monday, September 21, at
Jennifer�s Upper Level Restaurant at 1:00 p.m.
