Media Advisory: Minister to Participate at VMTs Graduation from Genesis Centre

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will speak at Virtual Marine Technologys (VMT) graduation from the Genesis Centre tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7) at 6:00 p.m. in the Inco Innovation Centre Lecture Theatre at Memorial University in St. Johns.

VMT develops simulators for survival craft, first response craft and high-speed navigation training. VMTs simulators combine visual realism with high-fidelity vessel performance to deliver a safe, focused learning environment.

The Genesis Centre is a support network for technology-based ventures that have high growth potential, and are seeking business guidance and capital. Instead of a company learning through its own mistakes, the Genesis Centre offers a wealth of resources that increase the companys likelihood, rate and degree of success.
