Ministers to Announce Funding for the Vera Perlin Society
The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Human
Resources, Labour and Employment and Minister
Responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities,
and the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National
Defence, Minister for the Atlantic Gateway, and the
Minister Responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador, will
announce funding for the Vera Perlin Society tomorrow
(Friday, October 16).
The ministers will be joined by His Honour, the
Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, the
Honourable John C. Crosbie, PC, OC, ONL, QC and His
Worship Dennis O�Keefe, Mayor of the City of St. John�s.
The event will take place at the Perlin Centre, 350
Pennywell Road, at 12:00 noon.
The Vera Perlin Society offers programs which
encourage personal growth, financial independence and
community integration for individuals with developmental
disabilities.
