Ted Lewis

Ted Lewis has his roots in a small community on the eastern side of the Northern Peninsula in Conche. He developed an understanding of the provinces fishing and aquaculture industries through his early work with the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans and as a manager of a cod farm operation. He later shifted his focus from the fishing industry to forestry as a manager of a lumber business. In 1995, he left the employ of Northchip Limited and started a logging business that within 10 years became one of the strongest, most vital parts of the provinces primary forest industry. His company later became the largest sawmill operation in the region. Mr. Lewis now resides in Roddickton.

David Woodman

David Woodman was born in Bishops Falls and later moved to Harbour Main. He worked in the construction industry in Ontario, the North West Territories and, Newfoundland and Labrador. He later became involved in municipal politics and served on the Harbour Main-Chapels Cove-Lakeview Town Council for 17 years, including three years as deputy mayor and nine years as mayor. During this period, he was able to gain an understanding of the fishing industry, as a number of residents in the municipality were employed in both the harvesting and processing sectors. During the 1990s, Mr. Woodman operated an independent garage in Holyrood and is now retired. He continues to reside in Harbour Main.

David Bonnell

David Bonnell is a former Head of the School of Fisheries at the Marine Institute and is author of Quality Assurance in Seafood Processing.
