The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced the appointment of Leigh Puddester as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board.

"Mr. Puddester�s senior management experience in the business sector will serve him well in his new role," said the Premier. "I look forward to his contributions and wish him well."

Mr. Puddester�s appointment becomes effective on Monday, September 21.

The Multi-Materials Stewardship Board is a provincial Crown agency that reports to the Minister of Environment and Conservation. Its mandate is to support progressive waste management practices in the province, with a particular focus on waste diversion, recycling and public education, in order to ensure a clean and healthy environment throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
