Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Opening of
New Office for Multicultural Women�s Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will participate in the official opening of the new office of the Multicultural Women�s Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador (MWONL) tomorrow (Wednesday, August 19) at 2:30 p.m. at the Nuport Building, 44 Torbay Road, St John�s.

MWONL is a voluntary, non-profit organization that promotes positive relationships among ethnic minorities and the local population, businesses and government. It also provides information and support to women of differing cultures. In Budget 2009: Building on Our Strong Foundation, the Provincial Government allocated $100,000 in annual funding to the organization.
