The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs, will attend a ceremony Monday, July 6, to welcome HMAS Sydney and HMAS Ballarat of the Royal Australian Navy to St. John�s. The ceremony will take place on the Harbour Apron, Piers 10/11 at 11:30 a.m. and will confer the Freedom of Seaport upon the vessels� commanding officers.

HMAS Sydney and HMAS Ballarat are currently taking part in Operation Northern Trident 2009, a six-month international deployment visiting select ports in Western Europe, North American and West and North Asia countries.
