Executive Council January 26, 2009 Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Association of Fundraising Professionals Annual Awards Luncheon The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will speak at the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals annual awards luncheon. The event will take place today (Monday, January 26), at 12:00 noon at the Ramada Inn, 102 Kenmount Road, St. John�s. The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable organizations. The AFP represents more than 30,000 members in 200 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.
