Media Advisory: Minister to Launch
MMSB�s Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund
The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of
Environment and Conservation, will officially launch the
Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund tomorrow
(Thursday, October 22) at 12:30 p.m. at the Comfort Inn,
St. John�s, at a workshop sponsored by the
Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) and the
Newfoundland and Labrador Environmental Industry
Association (NEIA).
The one-day workshop, The Upside of Waste Management:
Exploring Business Opportunities from the Provincial
Waste Management Strategy, will focus on potential
economic opportunities resulting from the implementation
of the Provincial Waste Management Strategy.
Funding for the Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund
comes from the Provincial Waste Management Trust Fund.
