Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Women in Municipal Government Luncheon

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, will speak at the Women in Municipal Government luncheon, tomorrow (Friday, July 24) at 12:00 noon at Fong�s Restaurant, Carbonear.

Minister Johnson will be joined by Kim Crosbie, Mayor of South River; Gladys Mercer, councillor, Carbonear; and Lorraine Brown, councillor, Whiteway.

The luncheon is being hosted, in partnership with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, by WISE (Women Interested in Successful Employment) Career and Employment Services. It will provide information and networking opportunities for women interested in running for municipal government.
