Public Advisory: Extension Announced to Big Game Application Process

A short extension has been given to the closing date for the receipt of applications for this years Big Game Licence Draw. The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 29.

Increased user traffic on the website today has caused considerable delays in the online web application process for big game licences. In addition, the ground transportation of applications to the Labrador portion of the province left insufficient time for hunters in the area to submit their applications. As a result, the deadline for applications for the 2009-10 Big Game Licence Draw will be extended to April 29.

Applications will be accepted at the wildlife division headquarters, 117 Riverside Drive, Corner Brook, by mail or online until the close of business (4:30 p.m. Newfoundland Standard Time) on April 29. Completed applications can also be faxed to 709-637-2099, 637-2004 or 637-2036.

For more information, contact the wildlife division at 709-637-2025, or visit www.wildlife.gov.nl.ca
