Preliminary Results from By-Election

The by-election in the electoral district of The Straits - White Bay North took place today and the polls closed at 8:00 p.m.

There were a total of 40 polls in The Straits � White Bay North. The preliminary results are as follows:

COLBOURNE, Dale 321
New Democratic Party

DEAN, Marshall 1,925
Liberal Party

PELLEY, Rick D. 1,799
Progressive Conservative Party

These results include Special Ballots. Please be reminded that these results are preliminary and are subject to change after the Official Count takes place on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
