Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in Ceremony Welcoming Porter Airlines

The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Business, will provide remarks at a ceremony marking the inaugural flight of Porter Airlines to the province.

The event will take place today (Monday, October 5) in the central atrium (ground level) of St. John�s International Airport. The inaugural flight is scheduled to arrive at 11:50 a.m. and the ceremony will begin at 12:05 p.m.

Beginning today, Porter Airlines will have four daily roundtrip flights between St. John�s and Halifax, with continuing service to Ottawa and Toronto.
